Snoop Dogg & Master P Accuse Walmart of Sabotage

Rappers Snoop Dogg and Master P are suing Post Foods and Walmart for sabotaging their cereal brand...

Attorney Ben Crump, who is representing the pair, said they are filing a lawsuit against Post Foods and Walmart.
According to Crump, Post Foods used 'deceptive practices' to sabotage the cereal brand, while Walmart prevented them from being placed on store shelves.
Their company is now seeking damages over the alleged 'deceptive trade practices'.
The duo founded Broadus Foods in 2022 and introduced two brands, Snoop Cereal and Momma Snoop.
The cereal launched in stores last Summer, with varieties including Cinnamon Toasteez, Fruity Hoopz with Marshmallows and Frosted Drizzlers.
Master P, real name Percy Miller, and Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Broadus, had attempted to launch another brand named Snoop Loopz the year previously.
The two had to discontinue the product due to a trademark infringement pursued by Kellogg, which owns the Froot Loops cereal.
In a post to Instagram last year, Snoop Dogg said: 'So they don't want us to use Snoop Loopz on our cereal box even though that's that's my name.
'We've built a national brand and disrupted the cereal industry, we did it with hard work and integrity.
'I know they're uncomfortable and scared. But our mission is to build diversity and economic empowerment. Times have changed.
'There's enough room for all of us to be successful. This is bigger than us, we are fighting for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
'We're no longer just being consumers, we're educating the culture, building our own brands, and passing down generational wealth.

This is a trademark case. They saying fruit loops went to far with claiming snoop loopz is too similar. I see both sides. I think fruit loops will have to back down. Cause loops and loopz can go both ways. Master p hoopz so loopz makes sense. Fruit loops is saying no one calls circle cereal loops but them.

Some stores make you pay for shelf space. The middle cost more than the top. Maybe that's why they suing Walmart. Don't want to pay?

We will see. Should be a fun case.

I got me some Snoop Dogg cereal right here in Memphis, TN to support the brand. I didn't eat any, but my sons said they were good.

Nobody should still be eating any of this toxic processed “food”. Healthy and diabetes-free please

Sugary cereals are not the answer to common health issues like diabetes, high blood pressure, and overweight to the black population. They might as well be selling crack again. The boxes look like fake cereal that's used in movie back drops. Hire better artist and take out the sugar.

No one would buy their cereal anyway. You see celebrity food brands in stores for a few months then they flop and get removed from shelves. The cereal isle already has 3 or 4 versions of everything already especially kids flavors.

I admire their tenacity to enter into the ring with food giants.

All these folks love to do is sit around and pump poison into the community under the guise of black excellence because he snoop that I know of hasn’t done anything to empower the community he’s empowered himself he’s promoted and juice he has promoted wine. He’s promoting unhealthy food and I will be honest ain’t nobody buying it. You can put it out if you want to I don’t think it’s gonna be many people that’s going to buy the cereal or the oatmeal and I believe they know that as well which is why they just trying to sue and get some quick money and try to make it seem as if somebody’s trying to stop Black people from doing something I want to see what investments he’s done into the Black community

Here's an idea... Why don't Master and Snoop Dogg pull there resources together and build a franchise of community grocery stores through out the black neighborhoods in this country and stock the shelves with their product? Stop begging and do what you did in the music industry P, BE INDEPENDENT!
