According to Flav's story, he immediately reacted to meeting Cyrus for the first time, calling out "Gwen Stefani! Gwen Stefani!" He noted that Cyrus did not correct him and just went along with it. However, after he says they hugged and he walked away, one of Flav's friends revealed to him that she was not actually Stefani. He ran back to Cyrus and apologized, calling himself stupid.
"Miley Cyrus smacked Flavor Flav in the face and I said, 'I won't let it happen again,'" he said. "We laughed it off."Miley mentioned the incident to Flav after crossing paths at an awards show recently.
