Wendy Williams' Family Denies Exploiting Her

Yesterday, before Wendy Williams' conservators announced that the former daytime talk show host was suffering from dementia and moved to shut down the 'Where is Wendy Williams' documentary on Lifetime [click here if you missed that], Wendy's niece, Alex Finnie, told People Magazine that she speaks to Wendy almost every day and that her aunt was no longer in the state portrayed in the documentary [click here if you missed that].

Finnie also claimed Williams was an executive producer on the documentary and was 'ready to take ownership for all that's happened in her life.'

Now in another interview, filmed before the dementia diagnosis was disclosed, Wendy's niece denies allegations that the family is exploiting her...

Where Is Wendy Williams? highlights the 59-year-old's struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, and her niece, Alex Finnie, has warned viewers that they are going to witness 'a broken woman' in the two-part film - which sees Wendy have a tearful reunion with Blac Chyna.
During an exclusive interview with Deborah Roberts for ABC's Nightline, Alex claimed that Wendy's relatives were not 'benefitting from this' and were 'shut out' when they initially tried to help the mother-of-one, who she said had 'unhealthy habits.'
Dismissing claims that Wendy has been 'exploited' by her family, Alex told Deborah in the segment that aired on Thursday's Good Morning America: 'I will say this, first and foremost, my aunt is the executive producer of this documentary and she said, "Now is the perfect time because I want to take ownership of my story."'
'I said I wasn't going to cry because I feel like I have cried enough over the last year and a half, but what people are going to see is a broken woman who has had the world on her shoulders for so long and just cracked.'
Her comments came before Wendy's team announced later Thursday that the former radio DJ has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) as well as aphasia - which is a disorder that affects how someone communicates.

Wendy just needs to heal, recover from the alcoholism and get rid of all the vultures circling around her.

How many people was Wendy financially supporting? That will tell the whole story.

Wells Fargo looking like a hero now.

@3:22 I agree. Wells Fargo the ONLY ones looking like they were looking out for Wendy while everybody else trying to cash out. 💰Her son better start looking for a real job because Wendy herself said she had no money left. With the type of disease she has she will need round the clock care sooner than later and that is very expensive. I still believe the embarrassment and grief Kevin and his mistress accelerated this disease on her. Karma coming for the both of them . So sad.

There's a reason why the state got involved. Let's hope she's in better hands.

3:57, was about to say the exact same thing. She looks gorgeous without the heavy makeup and hair weave.
