The Estate of Tupac Shakur Takes Legal Action Against Drake

Over the weekend fans of the late rapper Tupac Shakur were shocked and appalled after Drake created an A.I. generated verse using Tupac's voice to diss West Coast rapper Kendrick Lamar on his, "Taylor Made Freestyle," in response to Kendrick's diss on Future and Metro Boomin's 'Like That [click here if you missed that].'

Tupac's estate takes steps to remove the recording from the Internet...

From CBC
In a cease-and-desist letter to Drake obtained exclusively by Billboard, the late rapper's estate says it is "deeply dismayed" and would "never have given its approval."
After releasing "Taylor Made Freestyle" on April 19, Drake has received a cease-and-desist letter from Tupac Shakur's estate over the song's use of AI.
The letter states that Drake must remove the track within 24 hours to avoid legal action, according to Billboard.
"The Estate is deeply dismayed and disappointed by your unauthorized use of Tupac's voice and personality," attorney Howard King wrote in the letter. "Not only is the record a flagrant violation of Tupac's publicity and the estate's legal rights, it is also a blatant abuse of the legacy of one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time. The Estate would never have given its approval for this use."
"The unauthorized, equally dismaying use of Tupac's voice against Kendrick Lamar, a good friend to the Estate who has given nothing but respect to Tupac and his legacy publicly and privately, compounds the insult," King continued in the document.

Good. Kendrick should use an A.I. generation of Drake's own voice to diss himself. Label it young, innovative Drake vs this corny buffoon that's left. Corny was cute in his 20's. Now he's approaching middle age and won't grow with his fans.
