Now Tristan is being sued for fumbling his Instagram model bag, by not fulfilling his online obligations to a furniture company...
From The Blast
NBA star Tristan Thompson has been hit with a lawsuit by a luxury furniture company for alleged breach of contract.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Thompson failed to meet the terms of the agreement in his contract with the company after he was gifted outdoor furniture.
In its lawsuit, the company Luxury Outdoor Solutions claims that it gifted Thompson several pieces of outdoor furniture, including club chairs, sofas, a coffee table, and an ottoman.
In exchange for the furniture, Thompson allegedly agreed, on June 31, 3023, to give the company a "minimum of 10-15 high-resolution images," exposure through posts on his Instagram page, where he would credit them, and also "editorial exposure" on the magazine Architectural Digest.
However, Thompson allegedly failed to do any of these after being "suspended for 25 games after testing positive for ibutamoren."
His breach of the contract caused the company to suffer damages amounting to $53,173, which is the total market cost of the outdoor furniture delivered to the athlete.
Now, Luxury Outdoor Solutions is suing Thompson for "breach of contract" and "unjust enrichment," claiming that the 33-year-old received "benefits" (the furniture) from the company, which he "accepted and retained."
The company is seeking $53,173 in damages and also requesting that Thompson cover the cost of the lawsuit. Thompson has yet to respond to the lawsuit.
