This week rapper T.I. and his wife, Xscape singer Tiny Harris, were denied their motion to toss out their ex best friend, Sabrina Peterson's, defamation of character lawsuit [click here if you missed that].
Now they want Sabrina held in contempt for failing to pay their legal fees as ordered by the court...
From In Touch Weekly
Rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle demanded their ex-friend Sabrina Peterson be found in contempt for failing to pay up on a five-figure debt she owes them, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, T.I., 44, and Tiny, 49, asked a Los Angeles Superior Court judge to set a hearing on the matter.
The duo believe Sabrina should not only be found in contempt, but sanctioned $1,000 per day until she pays the $96,000 the court ordered her to pay them in legal fees.
Their lawyer argued, “Despite this court’s repeated orders that [Sabrina] pay [T.I. and Tiny] their statutory attorneys’ fees and costs, [Sabrina] has continuously and willfully refused to do so.”
He continued, “Her blatant noncompliance with the orders not only demonstrates a disregard for the authority of this court but also imposes an unfair and ongoing financial burden on [T.I. and Tiny], who have been forced to expend additional resources to recover the attorney fees to which they are rightfully entitled.”
A judge has yet to rule.
