“Although we are disappointed in the jury’s verdict, we of course respect their decision and appreciate their time hearing our case," her attorney A. Scott Bolden shared in a statement with the outlet. “We continue to reserve Mrs. Huger’s right to an appeal and intend to fully pursue justice on her behalf. We appreciate your support and prayers for Mrs. Huger and her family at this time.”
Following the March 19 crash—which saw Huger’s car cross a median and strike street signs, police told E! News at the time—the 61-year-old was charged with driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol; driving a vehicle while impaired by alcohol; negligent driving of a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner endangering property, life and person; and reckless driving a vehicle in wanton and willful disregard for safety of persons and property, according to Maryland Judiciary records obtained by E! News.
According to the records, Huger was also charged with failure to control vehicle speed on a highway to avoid collision, driving a vehicle in excess of reasonable and prudent speed on a highway, driving a vehicle on a highway with suspended registration, and failure of licensee to notify administration of change of address within 30 days.
Huger was found guilty on all charges except reckless driving, her rep confirmed to People. She is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 29.
