Last year psychiatrist and marriage counselor, Dr. Charles Sophy, was denied his request for a permanent restraining order against Dr. Dre after accusing him of sending a barrage of homophobic and racists text messages after accusing Sophy of turning his children against him [click here if you missed that].
Text messages from the $10 million lawsuit have leaked online...
From In Touch
Dr. Dre admitted calling his ex-therapist, who worked on his divorce, a “b1tch” but denied it was a homophobic slur, In Touch can exclusively report.
In Touch obtained the declaration submitted by Dr. Dre (real name: Andre Young) as part of Dr. Charles J. Sophy’s $10 million lawsuit accusing the mogul of civil harassment. Back in October 2024, Charles sued Dre, 59, claiming he had harassed him for over a year. The psychiatrist said he was hired to mediate Dre’s divorce from his then-wife, Nicole Young, in 2018.
Charles claimed he worked “fairly” to resolve the divorce.
Charles claimed that, “rather than treating the mediation process as an opportunity for healing, [Dre] decided to take his frustrations about the mediation out on [him] — frustrations that manifested themselves in the form of a nearly year-long sustained campaign of late-night texts, threats of intimidation and violence and homophobic rhetoric (e.g. ‘You’re a b1tch,’ ‘Cat got your tongue?’).”
A judge has yet to rule.
