I'm always amazed when people from such hard childhoods not only make their way in this world but excel doing it. Dr. D changed life for the better in Tennessee.
She is a true shero and warrior. I wonder if the locals have done anything to honor her legacy? I can only imagine the racial climate during her lifetime. In many ways things aren't much better today.
