Offset Facing Crushing Debt

Rapper Offset’s tax debt continues to grow with the rapper owing close to $2 million amid his divorce from Cardi B.

On March 12, the Georgia Department of Revenue filed a state tax lien against Offset (real name: Kiari Cephus). The address listed on the lien is the estate in Sandy Springs, Georgia, that the Migos rapper, 33, and Cardi, 32, purchased in 2019.

The lien claims Offset failed to pay taxes owed for the year 2021.

The government said the musician initially owed $167,916.02 in taxes but the bill has grown to $294,712 due to interest ($53,000), penalties ($39,000) and other fees.

The state tax lien comes months after Offset was socked with a Federal Tax Lien. On April 23, 2024, the IRS accused the rapper of owing $1,572,266.73 in unpaid taxes for 2021.
