TP isn’t the only black producer so I’m wondering if it’s a matter of their perception of who is a box office success. It really be our own too not just the whites. I applaud TP for paying top dollars to A - List actresses like Taraji P. Henson. I’m side eyeing producers who didn’t start out with acting, though. It seems many of our fave actors have now gone behind the cameras as well and it’s very telling. I can see a few cameos like Spike Lee but where are THE real black producers? Is Ryan Coogler and Antoine Fuqua it??
Tyler and Taraji are a good match because neither one has a lot of talent and they appeal to a specific income and social demographic. And I guess when you've maxed out your education level, the idea of 'but we is getting paid' is the highest standard needed to justify mediocrity.
Tyler doesnt give a damn what you losers think. He has a fanbase that supports his work and thats what matters. Now that I am older I realize most of the films yall consider classics like Love Jones, Soul Food, Coming To America, and Friday are almost just as toxic and buffoonish as Tyler Perry's work the characters just had a tiny bit more charm.

10:22 TP would be like, how did you guess 😂
Zzzzzzz all the time make it stop
I will be watching. He is the only director/producer that actually pays African American well. I will continue to support him.
Things are hard when you have to act in one of his movies he wrote. LOLO
Looks depressing
