Ava Dash Evicted From Luxury NY Rental

Last week Damon Dash was ordered to liquidate his film assets to satisfy his mounting debts [click here if you missed that].

Now comes word that his daughter Ava Dash has been evicted from her luxury TriBeCa rental...

From The Sun
RECORD Executive Damon Dash owes a stunning total of over $20 million in unpaid federal and state taxes, just as his Next Gen NYC star daughter, Ava, was evicted from her New York City apartment.
The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal that the Roc-A-Fella Records founder has been hit with three federal tax liens filed in 2022, owing the IRS a total of nearly $12 million.
Damon's money woes seem to be having quite the trickle-down effect in his family, after The U.S. Sun revealed earlier this week, his daughter Ava, 25, was evicted from her posh NYC apartment last year.
Ava, who's on Bravo's new show, Next Gen NYC, received an eviction notice for her luxurious apartment in Manhattan’s affluent TriBeCa neighborhood in July 2024.
According to the initial landlord-tenant filing, the property owner claimed Ava and three other tenants occupied the apartment but had failed to pay rent for four months at $9,995 per month, plus an additional $3,872.90 for a fifth month, spanning from July to March 2024.
The landlord requested the court issue "a warrant to remove respondents from possession of the premises together with the costs and disbursements of this proceeding."
By October 2024, the landlord successfully obtained an eviction notice.
During the premiere episode of Next Gen NYC, a brief shot of an eviction notice on a door teased what seems to be a future plotline for the show. While the names on the notice are blurred out, it is presumed to be related to Ava’s apartment.
Ava, the daughter of Damon Dash and his ex-wife Rachel Roy, joined the cast of Next Gen NYC, which debuted last week.

So they had money issues for YEARS and putting the kid in a luxury apartment that he couldn't afford sounded smart to them??? See I'm not a Jay-z fan, but when I hear stupid stuff like this, it's apparent that Jay-Z wasn't the problem. Damom's unrealistic Materialism is 💯

She's 25, she wants luxury, she should be able to afford it herself!

Live within your means, folks.

This is what happens when you give your children everything and do not instill responsibility or work ethic. How what is she going to do??? What are her skills? Hopefully she can get out here and make her own way.

Seems to me the kids who grew up hard make it in life easier than the ones who had it all. Struggle is often the prerequisite for success.

What about the 3 other tenants? They couldn't pay the rent without her? Maybe the eviction took place because of them and not her.

I agree with most of the comments. If she's on a show, then why isn't she paying her rent? LOLO
