Wow. This woman was PHENOMENAL! I hate how she didn't get as much attention as Madame Walker but I guess CJ may have been more crafty or better at self-promotion. Still, it's still sad many people never even heard of her contributions to our people beyond hair care. But that's par for the course when it comes to the way our history is told. THEY always made sure there was only one Black "hero" for every genre and rarely highlighted our achievements and contributions unless it could benefit them. I'm just appreciative of those who keep these stories alive. Thanks for the post Snitch.
My FAVORITE black history ICON! Madame CK Walker stole her legacy and was NEVER a millionaire. Made at most $600k while Annie was worth $14 million. Netflix came out with that show and edited her Wikipedia page and got Guinness to give her that phony record. Annie didn’t have any children so her legacy gets buried underneath MCJ’s phony one.

She probably wanted to stay low key on her how much money she made. Remember Juneteeth. Yt's can't stand when we out do them in achieving.
