Bravo Pulling the Plug on The Real Housewives?

Two weeks ago The Real Housewives of Atlanta new cast member, Brit Eady, filed a $20 million lawsuit against Bravo for defamation of character after an embarrassing incident involving Kenya Moore [click here if you missed that].  

Now insiders claim Bravo is considering pulling the plug on the whole franchise...

#ShuterScoop can exclusively reveal NBC is seriously considering pulling the plug on the entire Real Housewives franchise after Atlanta newcomer Brit Eady filed a jaw-dropping $20 million lawsuit, calling the franchise “legally radioactive.”

“What made Housewives great — the chaos — is now its biggest threat,” says one production insider. “It’s just lawsuit after lawsuit.”

In her bombshell filing, Eady slams Bravo and RHOA castmate Kenya Moore over a humiliating moment where Kenya unveiled a poster board labeled “Who Is This Ho?” — featuring explicit, allegedly fake photos of Eady. The images aired blurred, but the damage was very real.

“She begged to see the photo before it aired. They said no,” says a source close to Eady. “They wanted drama — now they’ve got court dates.”

Moore was quietly cut from the reunion and may not return at all. NBCUniversal, already rattled by Bethenny Frankel’s union threats and Leah McSweeney’s claims, is in full crisis mode.

“Every cast member’s a legal liability,” says one exec. “One more blow, and it’s lights out. Bravo has become an embarrassment to NBC news.”
