I used to think the same way. It’s naive and stupid. It never work to coddle a man. A man needs to be a breadwinner or d@mn near one. Keke sounds stupid.
This is where her and Zendaya are completely different because she has a man who brings in millions while Keke is talking about taking care of one. Just f’cking dumb, Keke!

I agree they shouldn't be coddled. But if he's not good at making big money but good at domestic things like painting, cooking, fixing things, yardwork etc., what's the problemo? As long as he's productive, not lazy and respectful, finances shouldn't be a deal breaker.

A man has to be able to keep a job, pay some of the bills if not all. The problem with these successful celebrity women is they pick men that use them like women use rich men. They make a baby with them and want monthly payments while they do noting. LOLO

I've made thr mistake of dating a broke man, and all it does is lead to resentment. Or eventually, he gets his weight and his money up, and drops you for the chick who wasn't there for the struggling. Never again. This is propaganda, to encourage women to settle for a man's potential. Be smart, ladies.

she's warming everyone up to accept that she's back with her babydaddy...shrugs

A man has to be really really good at whatever he has committed his life to. If he's a visual artist he will never make enough money to compete with Hollywood financially, but he's making an equal effort.

Nope. It requires money to do and maintain all the things you mentioned that a man’s ego gets can bring to the table. Like I said, he needs to be the breadwinner or close to it meaning you can’t be broke up in my face thinking cause you fixed the garbage disposal that it’s should be enough. Stop with the mental gymnastics.

I thought Keke’s man was Yerky the repeat offenders.

Unfortunately many successful women find it easier to date down. Then complain when they get build-a-bear behavior.

Okay, Halle. G'on wicha bad self.

That doesn’t even make any sense. She out here working like a vampire that doesn’t sleep but expect a man to be okay with not bringing anything to the table. Smh.

Been there, done that. She'll learn. MEN are natural born hunters, builders and providers, and any man worth his weight in salt wouldn't even want the type of dynamic she's describing. I understand it's not always easy for successful BW to find BM men on the same financial level but it's not a man's nature to sit back and watch a woman work harder than him. He doesn't have to make the same money she does but he has to be able to take care of her. He also doesn't want a woman whose identity outshines his, and this comes from his work. And while cooking, cleaning and yard work are nice haves, a MAN still requires his life to have purpose. She's still dealing with boys and that's why she has this "settle" mentality.

12:01 & 1:30 Never said a man shouldn't bring money to the table, just that he don't have to earn more than his woman. Women can win their own bread. When women were ruling, as in Egypt/Kemet we were engineers, builders, scientists, etc. And men were doing the grunt work. Miss me with that men are only designed to build and provide when women can do that too. We were actually made to complement each other. Depending on any person financially puts one in a bad position. It's only weak ego-driven men that can't handle a more successful woman.

If we were waiting on men to provide our freedom during slavery we might still be in chains. It was God-sent women like Hariett Tubman that moved in magnificence and helped the men plan revolts too. Check out Nanny from the Jamaican culture who was a slave revolt leader. I'm here for Real women.

I Don't Know What They Mean By 'POWERFUL' Women. I Think They Mean Wealthy/Financially Secure Females. AuntPollyJackson IS Powerful(Liberator/Defender). If $$$ Is Power, then A Broke Man Is A PowerLess Individual. Some Women Even Say Broke Men Don't Deserve Coochie. HOW Is Keke Powerful? Somebody Help This Confused Brotha.

Oh please yall know damn well if your 27 year old high school teacher son brought home a woman who is a millionaire heart surgeon, you'd give the marriage your blessing. Cut the crap. Now if the roles were reversed and your surgeon daughter brought the high school teacher home you wouldnt be a fan. Lol

After dealing with a jealous controlling baby daddy that tried to choke her out, she is still defending a man that cant find an acting or any job. She has very low self esteem. LOLO
