Lizzo Admits Trying Ozempic

For the past few years BBW pop star Lizzo has been sharing her weight loss journey online featuring work-outs, healthy eating and adamant denials of using Ozempic [click here if you missed that].

In a recent interview Lizzo admits she has tried the weight loss drug...

Lizzo admits that she "tried" Ozempic and other GLP-1 medications to help achieve her weight loss goals before deciding they weren't necessary for her to get the results she wanted.
The "Truth Hurts" singer admitted that she tried Ozempic and other GLP-1 drugs—a class of drugs primarily used to manage type 2 diabetes and obesity—before deciding that the method wasn't the most effective way for her to achieve her weight loss goals.
"I tried everything," Lizzo told host Trisha Paytas during a June 19 episode of the Just Trish podcast, before explaining why she wound up ditching GLP-1 medications early on in her journey. "Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full. But if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter, it's the same thing."
In fact, the 37-year-old—who has been documenting her weight loss journey since 2023—said she only started seeing the results she wanted when she made a simple change to her diet: eating meat.
"What did it for me is, it was not being vegan," Lizzo continued. "Because when I was vegan, I was consuming a lot of fake meats, I was eating a lot of bread, I was eating a lot of rice and I had to eat a lot of it to stay full."
However, adding meat back onto her menu allowed her to more easily consume products that contained less "fake sugar and weird stuff."
"When I started actually eating whole foods and eating, like, beef and chicken and fish," Lizzo said, "I was actually full and not expanding my stomach by putting a lot of fake things in there that wasn't actually filling me up."
And as for people who do stick with taking Ozempic to achieve their goals? Lizzo urged critics to stop looking at their choice as "cheating."
"It's not easy," the Grammy winner said. "It's a drug to help somebody with something they're struggling with."
She added, "I think people—it's their way of being fat phobic when you're telling someone they're cheating."

She is a cute girl. Just needs to do some weight / strength training to tighten up.

I thought she liked being fat. Now she's running around, still fat and wearing skinny cloths with the left over fat roles hanging out from tops that are cut off too short. It's good she lost the weight but dressing like a skinny teenager for her age is ridiculous. LOLO

Well she is right that becoming a vegan can make you fatter (happened to me in college), and bringing protein/meat back in WHILE REMOVING CARBS instead, does help you lose weight sooner (also happened to me). But she def needed the shots to go at the pace she’s been going, but she’s prob off the shots now and explains why her pace is slower now. Hope she’s still working on her emotions and relationship to food bc them old habits will want to return
