After four seasons, “Married to Real Estate” is coming to an end on HGTV, co-hosts Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson shared via Instagram on Tuesday.
“Mike and I just landed back in the States after an unforgettable family trip through the Mediterranean, and we’re met with unexpected news: HGTV has decided not to move forward with Married to Real Estate,” the joint statement read. “While the chain of events leading up to this is disheartening, we are deeply grateful. Grateful for four incredible seasons. Grateful for our amazing crew and supportive fans. Grateful that our businesses continue to thrive. And most of all-grateful that we are still very much married to real estate (and to each other).”
The couple continued, “There’s more to say, and we’ll share soon. But for now, know this: not all setbacks are what they seem. Some blessings show up in disguise. We’ve been here before. We’ll keep counting those blessings-and keep it moving. Stay tuned.”

This is disturbing to me. This is one of the best shows on HGTV. They showed a blended married couple that was expanding their brand and had a strong Black family foundation. The other Yt shows are boring showing the same ole renovations over and over again. This network struggles to support Black ppl in housing/realtors and designer. LOLO

The entertainment industry as a whole is contracting. Lots of shows are not getting renewed but yes, if the talent is black then there's a bigger target on it's back to cancel. Ever since the pandemic, the strikes during the pandemic, intro of AI and just all these corps that own these networks laying people off, more of your faves will be on the chopping block. Egypt & Mike can make this work by taking it to social media & monetizing that way.
