Bishop Charles Ellis III Admits Having an Affair

This week a former member of Grace Grace Temple in Detroit came forward with claims she had been in a 15 year relationship with married Grace Grace lead pastor, Bishop Charles Ellis III [click here if you missed that].

Bishop Ellis admits having an inappropriate relationship with the congregant 15 years ago, but insists most of her claims are deeply troubling and untrue...

A statement emailed to Great Grace Temple parishioners reads,
I was recently made aware of social media posts shared by a former member of my congregation, with whom I had an inappropriate relationship over 15 years ago. At that time, these indiscretions were addressed with my bishop in a redemptive process, which included counseling.
These posts include accusations, some of which are deeply troubling and untrue. Given the nature of several false claims being made I have asked my legal counsel, Atty Gerald Evelyn, to carefully review all matters, in particular an apparent joint bank account with my name on it.
I ask for continued prayers for myself, my family as well as this individual and her family. My deepest hope is that all parties involved can find peace and healing.

Watch, he'll probably elude to the bible allowing men to have more than 1 wife as well as concubines. I hate when fake preachers do this.

What will the wife do? Stand by her man or step off? I believe she will stand with him so she want lose her first lady status. Sad but true. LOLO

What a shame! All those years he'd been lying to his parishioners and getting their money to pay for his Bentley and side piece.

Biggest hoax ever perpetrated on Black people was the church. How many more of these stories before you realize this are just MEN? And apparently foul , weak ones at that. Happy to say the church has never seen a dime of my money.

The wives almost never leave. Either they love the lifestyle and clout too much or they have nothing to fall back on if they move on because they never prepared themselves for independence. And the ones who have are likely holding out for that life insurance money when he croaks.
