Two months ago Will Smith dropped a freestyle referencing the time he slapped Academy Awards Show host, Chris Rock, on live TV for joking about his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith's, bald head [click here if you missed that].
Over the weekend Chris joked about the incident during a surprise set at the Laugh Factory...
Chris Rock is no stranger to standing ovations, but the veteran performer received an extended one after taking the stage this week to debut new material during a surprise set at West Hollywood’s Laugh Factory.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Rock covered a range of topical subjects during the set, joking about everything from abandoning Love Island and divorce (by promoting his ex-wife’s attorney) to “wonderful” Halle Berry and the infamous Oscar slap. Regarding the latter, the source said that Rock broached the subject only after an audience member lobbed a question about the incident which found Will Smith slap Rock in a shock incident during the 2022 Oscar ceremony. Rock answered with several “hilarious” responses, per a source.
“It was a night every one who attended will long remember,” concluded the source who called the set “remarkably brilliant.” No word on where Rock will turn up next or if he’s workshopping the material for an upcoming special.

He's really not that funny. His characters have a lil more range. LOLO
Chris, ain't you tired of repeating this?
CR has never been funny to me
Will Smith is a street performer in London.
The audience had no energy and gave him no response.
All comedians are catching up on crowd working bc it’s been taking stand up over. Glad to hear it sounds like Chris rock is one who can crowd work bc not all legends can. DL and Gary are awesome at it.
I laugh at people who say Chris Rock is not funny. HBO Specials, Netflix TV specials, "the Everybody Hates Chris TV Show".. Sold out comedy shows across the country...... Yeah... Chris Rock is not funny.
Chris is not classically handsome
Be real. Chris is homely.
A man that is a multimillionaire can get it. He doesn't have to be cute or well. Karrueche is all booed up with Prime Time.
Chris will always be Pookie to me. He was funny for a time but he's corny now.
Everyone has a different set of rules to them what is funny. I.like comedy off the dome. Hecklers being roasted from a comedian is funny to me. Playing the dozens is funny. To each his own. LOLO
