Sean Kingston's Mother Has Open Warrants in California

Last week recording artist Sean Kingston's mother, Janice Turner, was sentenced to five years in prison after her conviction on fraud charges in Miami [click here if you missed that].

I received a tip that Janice is facing more charges out of California...

Janice Turner—better known as “Mama Kingston” and the mother of celebrity singer Sean Kingston was sentenced by federal authorities to five years in prison. 

During the course of federal discovery, it was revealed that both Janice Turner and her son, Kisean Anderson (professionally known as Sean Kingston), have an active warrant in Van Nuys, California, for an unrelated grand theft case involving over $100,000. This alleged theft took place at their Encino residence, where they reportedly received a jewelry delivery and provided a fraudulent bank wire in return.

Notably, this California incident was not included in the federal indictment, meaning they will still need to face the state court system. Since state sentences typically begin after federal sentences are served, it is possible that Janice Turner could remain incarcerated for the rest of her life.
