Taylor Russell Exits The Thomas Crown Affair

Back in March actors Michael B. Jordan and Taylor Russell were spotted together in London, sparking dating rumors [click here if you missed that].

Apparently they were working on a new film together, but Taylor has exited the project over creative differences...

From Variety
Taylor Russell has exited her role in Amazon MGM Studios’ reimagining of “The Thomas Crown Affair,” where she was set to star opposite Michael B. Jordan.
Production on the movie, directed by Jordan, is underway in London. Russell is said to have exited the part due to creative differences, and the studio will be recasting her role as progress continues toward the film’s March 5, 2027 theatrical release date.
“The Thomas Crown Affair” also stars Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, Pilou Asbæk and Aiysha Hart. Drew Pearce wrote the script, with plot details being kept under wraps, following a previous draft written by Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson, which was based on the original film.
Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo are producing the picture for Outlier Society, alongside Charles Roven via Atlas Entertainment. Patrick McCormick and Toberoff Productions’ Marc Toberoff also serve as producers. Alan Trustman (writer of the original 1968 film starring Steve McQueen) is an executive producer.

Great. Another remake of a classic and the third one. Why? Hollywood has no creativity these days.

We do not need another Thomas Crown Affair. But I am curious as to why she left. Were they really dating and called it quits, or was it all about this movie? Hmmm.

So Michael B Jordan is directing this film - since he is the director & they were hanging out, the "creative differences"
are likely a romance gone wrong. Both are young & very attractive - it happens. But as a young back male way too risky in todays industry climate

Since it was annouced so publicly this could get messy
& she might be looking to cash out Cassie style.

I dont know of her work. She's not a house hold name to be canceling projects. There's plenty of pretty co stars waiting in the wings to take her place. LOLO

Loved the first two versions of this movie. Curious about whether Michael B. Can match Steve McQueen and Pierce Brosnan.

Sounds like an opportunity for a real actress to co-star with Jordan. He’s been rolling out great projects. Nobody got time for the drama. Pun not intended. Ha!

I imagine they paid her off & made her sign a BIBLICAL
stack of NDAs. The chemistry between them to was super evident.

He is still a immature playboy, they definitely rushed her up
outta there lighting quick by the seat of her pants and slammed the door hard.

they weren't even walking close to each other in London. That chemistry was trash and it translated to the screen

just no. don't remake The Thomas Crown Affair at all. Just sick of the lack of creativity in Hollywood.

Nothing immature about MBJ. This man is humble and respectful of everyone.

Creative differences.
So, MBJ been pushing out projects that garner positive attention and are over $100 million box office hits. People need to stop trying to block his vision cause what has she been a part of that was ever as successful as his work? She took a liking to him and he is more focused on making this project another huge success. Ain’t nobody got time for that! 😂

I wonder what she is thinking right now while her booty is still stinging where they kicked it.This was the opportunity of a lifetime. Her big break.

A woman scorned, I wonder...
