Good for her. She invested in her son's future which was amazing. I feel the least the government could do is compensate the heirs of slaves by providing free higher education. In Michigan this is done for Native Americans.

Looks like many of the enslaved and formerly enslaved valued education more than a whole lot of today's so-called free people.
