Another HBCU grad who made a difference. They took his life because he wouldn't give up. That’s what they hate the most about us, we don’t give up no matter what they throw at us.

Iktr. Vote and get an education. If there’s something they don’t want us to do (vote) or have (knowledge of our own dam history) then you know that’s what you need to do or what you need to have.

They looked for him. He traveled a lot and usually alone so his disappearance wasn’t immediately noticed. The NAACP looked for him when he couldn’t be found for a deposition. Most of his family thought his life was taken in retaliation for his victories but nothing came of the search. There’s more info at wikipedia.
