@1:15:which is all the more reason for him to just get back to making good music. But he's so obsessed with Kenny, he can't even think straight.

Drake has achieved numerous major music milestones, becoming one of the best-selling artists ever, holding records for RIAA-certified units and Billboard chart achievements, and winning multiple Grammy Awards. Key milestones include breaking Spotify's first-week streaming record with If You're Reading This It's Too Late in 2015, having the first song to be Spotify's most-streamed ever with "One Dance" in 2016, and surpassing 500 million RIAA-certified units in 2025. He also holds the record for the most weeks on the Billboard 200 for a solo artist and is tied for the most Hot 100 number-one singles for a male solo artist.

Pay attention. You’re hyping Kendrick up through clown antics. Drake fans are making sure he’s winning where it matters so he’s staying paid.

Ok 1:15, 4:56, you work for Drake’s publicist and I assume you’re the one who worked for Tyrese’s publicist too.

Drake and Kendrick are both undeniable. The reality here is that I hated to see Kendrick rear him down for a come up when Drake helped him in the beginning of his career. It’s really about longevity.

While Kendrick Lamar was widely seen as the artistic victor in their 2024 feud, Drake's commercial success has remained largely unfazed. His continued financial dominance is attributed to his relentless music output, diversified business ventures, and established brand loyalty, which absorbed the lyrical and reputational damage from the beef.
How Drake maintains commercial success
Volume and streaming power: Drake's frequent release schedule, including his latest albums, has ensured he continues to dominate streaming charts. In 2024, despite the controversies, Drake was the top-performing rapper on Spotify, with over 12 billion streams, outpacing Lamar and other contemporaries. In July 2025, he briefly reclaimed his position as the most-streamed rapper on Spotify by monthly listeners.
Diversified business empire: Drake's business acumen extends far beyond music, helping to insulate his finances from a single event like the beef. His portfolio includes real estate, the whiskey brand Virginia Black, and other ventures, providing him with a robust and diversified revenue stream.
Blockbuster tour revenue: Drake's record-breaking tours demonstrate his immense and resilient draw as a live performer.
His "It's All A Blur Tour" is the highest-grossing rap tour in history, generating $320.5 million in revenue from 1.3 million tickets sold.
While Kendrick Lamar's 2025 "Grand National Tour" is projected to surpass this record, Drake's overall touring power has remained undisputed in the immediate aftermath of the beef.
Established brand loyalty: Drake's dedicated fanbase has largely stuck with him through the controversy. Despite a significant drop in social media followers after the beef, his core audience has continued to generate massive streaming numbers, reinforcing his commercial viability.
Dominance in album sales: According to a Billboard report from late 2024, Drake sold nearly twice as many album units as Kendrick Lamar that year (6.8 million vs. 3.5 million), showing the consistent strength of his album sales despite the beef's outcome.
Lamar's artistic victory versus Drake's commercial endurance
Lyrical defeat: Most fans and media outlets considered Kendrick Lamar the decisive victor of the lyrical conflict. His diss tracks like "Not Like Us" achieved massive cultural significance, winning Grammys, topping charts, and generating significantly more revenue than Drake's diss tracks.
Differing business models: The beef highlighted the difference between the two artists' approaches to the music industry.
Kendrick Lamar prioritizes critical acclaim and intentional, less-frequent releases, which translates to massive cultural moments but not necessarily the same continuous commercial output as Drake.
Drake's consistent, high-volume release strategy and deep entrenchment in the pop music market have created a level of commercial momentum that a single rap beef could not derail.
