From ABC7
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the gruesome discovery of a body inside an impounded Tesla at a tow yard in Hollywood, and Eyewitness News has learned the vehicle is registered to singer D4vd.
Officers responded to the 1000 block of N. Mansfield Avenue shortly before 12:30 p.m. Monday to a report of a foul odor coming from an impounded vehicle, according to LAPD.
Authorities said human remains were found in the front trunk of the Tesla, which is registered in Hempstead, Texas, to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke.
D4vd has over 33 million monthly listeners on Spotify and over 3.6 million followers on TikTok, where his songs "Here with Me" and "Romantic Homicide" have gone viral.
He released his debut album earlier this year and often credits TikTok for his success.
So far, D4vd, nor his team, has released any comment on the investigation, though he has limited comments on his social posts.

Impounded vehicle?
No mention of why ?
Who impounded it, and for what purpose.
What date was it impounded and how long was it there
Where exactly was the vehicle removed from, impounded from
That's truly sad.....his music is good. When real talent can't get ahead, believe there is an agenda
why is any car impounded? could be repossession from falling behind in payments, could be traffic violation. what difference does it even make? there's a chopped up, decomposed dead body in the TRUNK!
@10:34 You answered your own question.
The presence of body, its a Homicide investigation
The answers to the Question leads to " Who done it"
There is big name, a celebrity attached to the story
The Material Facts , could clear his name.
His music is trash. He cant sing. I don't understand how he is making money off that garbage.
I agree with poster 10:18 AM. If you pay that much money for a car why would you not pay the price to reclaim the vehicle? LOLO
His songs "Here with Me" and "Romantic Homicide" have gone viral."

Eyewitness News has learned the remains belonged to a woman. In addition, she was described as having wavy black hair, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 71 pounds. She was found wearing a tube top, black leggings, yellow metal bracelet and metal stud earrings.
The woman also had a tattoo on her right index finger that said "Shhh..."
Interesting as I do not know not one woman that weighs 71 lbs. unless this is a child or the body is so decomposed that it weighs a lot less now. So sad.
The impound questions make sense since the answers could point to the perpetrator. It doesn't have to automatically be who the car was registered to.
10:26🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️ a little murder shouldn’t get in the way of talent. I hope your ass gets investigated.
I read on LA Times website the car was abandoned for 5 days in the Hollywood hills, and that's where it was towed from . Did the owner report the car stolen within those 5 days? Don't all new model cars come with GPS? I bet he did it
^^ You might be right.
That man done caught a body in the worst way
Yea, it appears to be a young girl if they're 71 lbs. No adult weighs only 71 lbs, unless they're on drugs or...strickened w/ A.I.D.S.
It's def a little girl probably 9-12 yrs.old is my guess.
At any rate, it's a horrific way for a life to end.
Just speculating but it wouldn't be wise to put a body in your own car. But with the crazies running wild now all is possible. Glad they're bringing back the mental institutions.
The price of fame and humiliation
How come he ain't arrested? That girl found unalive in his car was more likely than not a child @ 71lbs.
Why ain't no1 calling for this dude's arrest yet?
