James Harden Loses Houston Restaurant

LA Clippers point guard James Harden's downtown Houston restaurant 'Thirteen' is closed after Harden falls behind more than $2 million in rent...

From KHOU
The doors at James Harden's Thirteen restaurant in Midtown are locked.
A sign on the door says the restaurant owes more than $2 million in rent and other expenses. The sign also says the locks have been changed and a new key will be given to the restaurant when they settle their debt.
According to a court filing, the tenant companies signed a five-year lease in 2020 to operate a restaurant, bar and VIP lounge. The agreement was extended in July 2025 to run through October 10, 2025, with Harden guaranteeing the rent if the tenants defaulted.
The filing says that tenants failed to pay the monthly rent. They also allegedly didn't pay additional rent based on gross sales.
The landlord is seeking all past and future rent as well as lawyer fees and court costs.
We reached out to Harden’s restaurant, but as of this posting, hadn’t received a response.
This is a developing story. We'll post any new details as we get them.
