Trey Songz has settled a multi-million-dollar lawsuit alleging sexual assault at a Miami nightclub.
According to legal documents obtained by Billboard, the R&B singer reached a confidential deal just weeks before the case was set to go to trial. The plaintiff, Jauhara Jeffries, had accused Songz — born Tremaine Neverson — of sexually violating her on January 1, 2018, at E11even Miami.
“This court has been advised that the matter has been settled as to all parties and therefore, it is hereby ordered and adjudged that this case is dismissed,” Judge Antonio Arzola wrote on Tuesday, per Billboard. “The court reserves jurisdiction to enforce the settlement and to enter orders necessary to this enforcement.”
The details surrounding the settlement have not been revealed, but Jeffries’ attorney, Ariel Mitchell, confirmed to the outlet that “the matter has been resolved.”
