Portland Trailblazers head coach Chauncey Billups and Miami Heat player Terry Rozier were separately arrested Thursday morning in connection with federal investigations into gambling, a law enforcement official told CNBC.
Former NBA player Damon Jones was also arrested in Las Vegas as part of the investigation, an FBI spokesperson told NBC News.
Billups, a former player for the Detroit Pistons who spent 17 years in the NBA, was arrested in Portland. A five-time All-Star, Billups was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2024.
Rozier was arrested in Orlando, Florida.
