This week boxer Claressa Shields dropped a video response to Laila Ali after Laila dropped a video setting the record straight on her relationship with Claressa [click here if you missed that].
Laila responds to Claressa explaining why she will never come out of retirement to fight her...
...among other things Laila points out that she has more knockouts than Claressa has wins.
Okay, and? I see she didn't rebut anything she said or prove Claressa lied on her. And while I think Claressa could use some etiquette and class training, I can't stand Laila the bully because she's also a proven hater. She's almost twice that girl's age with more experience so of course her wins are higher. Duh! But if she was as tough as she claims she wouldn't need to hide behind that. Knuckle up or shut up.
Laila looks great. Looks and etiquette and don't win fights though. Laila is old enough to be Claressa's mama. She needs to fall back and let Claressa shine.
What she proved was Clarissa is insecure, disrespectful and a liar. Laila ain't giving her a fight, because she doesn't need to. Clarissa is proving she's an overdressed, tacky person, with a rapper as her manager. Way to go for the branding Rissa.
