Iman Shumpert Accused of Assaulting Girlfriend Over Cheating Allegations

According to a source, the situation allegedly began after a confrontation over messages from another woman. The source claims the woman involved had been seeing Shumpert for approximately “three to four years” and had traveled to visit him as usual. During the visit, a friend who was expected to join them canceled last-minute — but later sent Shumpert an intimate photo, which reportedly sparked tension.

The source alleges that later that evening, another woman was invited over, and during conversation, additional issues resurfaced. According to the source, this led to a verbal confrontation between Shumpert and Joanna Kim.

At that point, things allegedly turned physical.

The source reports that Shumpert attempted to strike Joanna Kim while she was on the phone, causing her to fall. He then allegedly grabbed her by her wrist and ankle, dragging her “through the room and down the stairs.”

The woman allegedly ran back upstairs to retrieve her belongings, but the situation escalated again. According to the source, another woman present allegedly threw her down the stairs during this second altercation.

The source also claims that Shumpert called his best friend during the incident, and additional arguing ensued between everyone involved.

Following the encounter, the woman reportedly contacted authorities and filed an official police report with the South Fulton Police Department. The source says she expressed disbelief that the situation had become physical, especially given the length of time she had been involved with him.
