AMERICAN stars Beyoncé and Jay-Z are set to use a “rich person” planning loophole to build a huge rural estate in the UK.
The couple are said to have bought a 58-acre plot in the Cotswolds for their mansion.
On the land is a derelict shack near an algae-filled lake.
Permission has been granted for a spectacular seven-bed property.
Development is allowed under a special exemption clause in the Government’s National Planning Policy Framework. It gives permission for new homes in rural locations where planning would typically be refused.
To qualify the design must be of “exceptional quality . . . truly outstanding, reflecting the highest standards in architecture”.
It has been dubbed the “rich person clause” because of the millions of pounds required to override regular restrictions.

Is this a good business move in real estate in this decade? What about apartment housing or office buildings! Luxury homes in another and this country one are so over priced. LOLO
You couldn’t pay me to move to Europe. The continent as a whole has the blandest food you’ll ever eat. Greece is probably the only country that gets a pass. The rest? Eh. And don’t get me started on the native food in the UK. They must plan on eating Afro Caribbean food when going there because the native food?! Eeeyuck!

^^^Accurate! I lived in Europe for many years. If anyone thinks European food is bland than it's b/c they have never been there and they are only familiar with the European foods cooked by non-skilled Americans. I can't wait to move back.

I lived in Germany 25 years ago and traveled around Europe from there. I'm no foodie or anything like that, but everything I tried was delicious.
Our food tasted good back then too. We're all eating the lab made slop these days.
