Beyoncé and Venus Williams Named Met Gala Co-Chairs

Beyoncé, Venus Williams, and Nicole Kidman will co-chair the 2026 Met Gala...

From Vogue
At the 2026 Met Gala, the Metropolitan Museum of Art will celebrate its spring Costume Institute exhibition, titled “Costume Art”—and set to co-chair the fête are major forces from the worlds of entertainment, sport, and, of course, fashion: namely, Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour.
This spring’s event will mark Beyoncé’s first Met Gala appearance in a decade—she last walked the Met’s steps in 2016, when she attended the “Manus x Machina” gala in Givenchy Haute Couture. Kidman and Williams, meanwhile, have made regular appearances over the years, including at the “Superfine” gala this past May.

Both women are extremely successful but as far as style, nope.

^ RIGHT! They're often the worst dressed in most cases and let's not get to the rest of it. She's a whole bird and even with all her body alterations Cardi def got more style and looks better in couture than these two IMO.

lacefront went from 2 failed leisure/casual clothing lines to the co-chairing the met is wild #jeffbeso'simpact!

and respectfully, venus has never been a fashion girlie. i can't even recall one look or fashion moment of her that stands out in my memory.

but she def deserves ALL her flowers as a trailblazing athlete. that's her historic, iconic, significant impact on the world. not her fashions.

i will say the way lacefront-of-the-lamb has trained the industry to give her whatever acknowledgement, accolade or award she wants in exchange for showing up is impressive.

i didn't even realize she ain't been to the met in a decade. other than that time her dress was so tight she had to have people carry her up the stairs, nothing about her style was ever show-stopping to begin with.
