Tyler Perry Jurisdiction Motion Granted

Back in June former 'Tyler Perry's The Oval' cast member Derrick Dixon filed a workplace sixual harassment lawsuit against Tyler Perry claiming he was pressured into a relationship in order to keep his job [click here if you missed that].

Now Derrick's lawsuit has taken a hit...

According to Pam Esquire the Law Intellect on Youtube, Tyler Perry's motion to switch the lawsuit jurisdiction from California to Georgia has been granted.

What that means for Derrick is that the statute of limitations on his 2019 claims have already run out in GA.

In Georgia, the statute of limitations for workplace sixual harassment (civil) is generally 180 days from the last incident to file with the EEOC, but it's much shorter than for sixual assault, while for civil lawsuits related to sixual assault/abuse, it's typically two years

Tyler needs to be more discreet. He works to hard to be getting caught out there.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I'm glad jurisdiction was moved to the state of record. People try to take up residency in a favorable state just to file a lawsuit is ridiculous.
