Kandi & Todd's Custody Battle Turns Ugly

Last month Todd Tucker filed for primary custody of his two children with Kandi Burruss, claiming she does not have time to take care of the kids because she was cast in a Broadway play that will keep her out of town for months [click here if you missed that].

Kandi fires back claiming Todd does not contribute financially for the children's expenses and does not exercise his parental time...

According to Youtuber Chronical Speaks Kandi filed her response in Fulton County Superior Court on Jan 8. 2026, asking the judge for an emergency hearing for a temporary parenting schedule and child support until their divorce is final.

In her motion Kandi claims their children's expenses are falling entirely on her, despite Todd having multiple streams of income and the ability to pay.   

Kandi says Todd does not pay the mortgage at their marital residence and does not exercise significant parenting time with their kids, despite posting two or three minute videos chronicling his 'Daddy Daycare' on social media. 

Kandi also says Todd tried to prevent the kids from visiting her in New York over the Christmas break, after their airline tickets were already paid for.

Kandi is asking for a temporary parenting schedule, holiday rules, and a guarantee that she gets Spring Break with the kids and a temporary child support order.
