Seven months after settling her divorce from Bryan Abasolo, Rachel Lindsay is speaking out about the couple’s decision not to get a prenup.
During an appearance on Hot Mics with Billy Bush, the Bachelorette alum, 40, admitted that she and Abasolo allegedly didn’t see eye to eye on the need for a prenup.
“I didn't have a prenup… and I would like to say this out loud. People are like, ‘You're a lawyer. You're so stupid. How did you not get a prenup?’” she explained. “So much factors into that. I asked for one. He didn’t want it. And I thought, ‘Is this marriage not going to go forward because I'm fighting for this and he isn't?’”
"I wanted one,” she clarified. “I asked. He said, ‘No, that means you're planning for divorce.’"
A representative for Abasolo did not immediately return PEOPLE’s repeated requests for comment.

Once she knew how he felt about the prenuptial agreement, she should’ve ended the engagement and walked away. She would’ve kept her dignity AND her money. This man got over like a fat cat.
She was one desperate dummy.
I used to really want to get married. But then I got a house and a pension. I'm no longer interested in having some dusty male sit up on my couch and plan to retire off of my hard work.
And a lawyer to boot.
