Cardi B Wins Right to Recover $20k From Security Guard Lawsuit

Last year rapper Cardi B was found not liable for assault after being sued by a security guard at her doctor's office [click here if you missed that].

Now Cardi has been cleared to pursue legal fees from her accuser...

Six months after a jury unanimously sided with Cardi B and rejected a security guard's assault claim, a judge ruled that the rapper can recover nearly $20,000 in trial costs. The security guard, Emani Ellis, had attempted to avoid paying the legal fees, arguing that Cardi B waited too long to seek reimbursement and that the submitted bill was 'a sham.' However, the judge determined the costs were both timely and 'necessary' to the defense presented.

It only makes sense. If people bring a lawsuit AGAINST you and THEY lose, THEY should have to pay YOUR attorney fees and court costs.

Ain't no forgiving those who trespass against you. Take their last dime.

Imagine you thinking you're getting a huge payday, only to have to pay $20,000. Ouch!

Cardi wins big on the front end and she'll lose on the back end as well -- figuratively and literally. Mark my words.

@6:44 What is wrong with you??? That security guard stalked a pregnant woman all the way to and from her appointment. That is against the law and a HIPPA violation. Forget it's Cardi, no woman should have to deal with that.
