I don't blame him. They talked about how the group got started for years. She did hair, designed and made outfits, and other things. Do your research and stop trying to be messy. Nobody wants to keep talking about their ex. Especially after they've moved on. Ask Tina about Tina. She doesn't seem to mind talking about herself.
He was very diplomatic about it but that ego was too strong. I kind of agree with him though. Tina's tacky outfits aren't what made DC stars. Matty's cutthroat backroom deals to push the Weaved One to the forefront did. We all know It and it all came to pass.
As a journalist I would never have asked that question.
He's mad because he sees her with B's family getting all the accolades and love he help start. He's for getting it was his dirty D and hand in the cookie jar that got him banned. LOLO
Buddy had 2 kids on her and still can't give her the flowers she deserves. He could have easily said "I'm grateful for all she did in those early days, but I'd rather talk about my life today." Such a loser. No wonder he's outside of the club, looking in.

Some of you in the comment section are clueless. Hair, makeup, and fashion are extremely critical! Not only that but she carried them financially once he left his nice job. She was the breadwinner. She was the backbone as well. Had it not been for her working like a dog there would've been no group.
They finances came because HE was the original breadwinner. I'm sure Tina's beauty salon money wasn't paying for studio time, agents, PR, lawyers, etc. She helped and should get credit but her contribution wasn't pivotal to their success. They were a team but her role wasn't as critical to the success, which is probably why he took offense to the reporter's comments. Matthew was always grooming Beyonce to be headliner and controlled who got leads on vocals, writing credits, etc. Any stylist could've done what Tina did but not everyone was as savvy as Matty. And as far as making another DC, that was his child so he was setting up family generational wealth on the low. The passion, time, energy and effort is different when it's your own and usually can't be replicated. Ask any parent of a child star.
I agree with 4:17. I think he did all the heavy lifting but didn't want to disparage her.
Y'all don't realize this generation of journalists are not professional. No training. Don't know what questions should be off limits if you don't want to offend the interviewee.
@4:17 You have it backwards. TINA'S MONEY was paying the bills. He worked for a copy toner company and quit when Ms.Ann was dismissed as a manager. Tina paid the bills while Matty and Bey were chasing being a star. He quit his job. She was designing the clothes at night and by day paying the bills doing press and curls and blowouts .
