Michael Vick's Jersey Removed From Rafters

Michael Vick's former high school removed his football jersey from their gym's rafters. Michelle Price, a spokeswoman for the Newport News Public Schools, said Warwick High School principal Varinda Robinson decided to take the jersey down shortly after Vick entered his plea.

"It stayed up through the allegations, but they did decide to take it down once he admitted some guilt."

Michael Vick Owes The Falcons $20 Million Dollars

An arbitrator ruled yesterday that Michael Vick must repay $20 million dollars in bonuses to the Atlanta Falcons for violating his $130 million contract. Stephen Burbank, the University of Pennsylvania law professor who presided over last week's arbitration hearing, agreed with the Falcons that Vick violated his contract when he admitted his role in a dogfighting ring. The team also argued that Vick used proceeds from his contract to bankroll the illegal operation.

Davon Boddie Pleads Guilty

Michael Vick's cousin, Davon Boddie, was sentenced to a five year suspended sentence on drug charges. Under the terms of his plea agreement, Davon will not have to serve time in prison as long as he maintains good behavior and meets regularly with a probation officer. Davon admits some of his family members think he ratted out Vick and the dog-fighting ring, but he says that's not what happened at all. "I'm not a snitch," Davon says, saying authorities knew where he lived and decided to search the house.

Michael Vick Sued By 2nd Bank

An Indiana bank sued suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick for not repaying loans involving a car rental business. 1st Source Bank of South Bend said in a federal lawsuit it suffered damages of at least $2 million because Vick and Divine Seven LLC of Atlanta had refused to pay for the vehicles. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages. Last week, the Royal Bank of Canada sued Vick in federal court in Virginia for more than $2.3 million that it said he had planned to use for real estate investments...

Michael Vick Sued For 2.3 Million

Suspended Falcons quarterback Michael Vick is being sued by the Royal Bank of Canada, which claims that when he ceased receiving paychecks as an NFL player, he violated the terms of a $2.5 million loan. The Daily Press reports that the loan contract Vick signed has a clause that says if Vick experiences an employment change that might affect his ability to repay the loan, that constitutes a default. The complaint filed by the bank says that Vick owes $2.3 million, plus $499 of interest a day, and the bank wants Vick to pay its legal fees.

Michael Vick Word For Word

Just add the sad eyes.

"For most of my life, I've been a football player, not a public speaker, so, you know, I really don't know, you know, how to say what I really want to say....

Not What You Want To Hear In Court

U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson, who asked: "Are you entering the plea of guilty to a conspiracy charge because you are in fact guilty?" Vick replied, "Yes, sir." Hudson emphasized he is not bound by sentencing guidelines and can impose the maximum sentence of up to five years in prison. "You're taking your chances here. You'll have to live with whatever decision I make," said Hudson. Michael will be sentenced on December 10th.

Michael Vick Pleads Guilty

"After consulting with his family over the weekend, Michael Vick asked that I announce today that he has reached an agreement with federal prosecutors regarding the charges pending against him," lead defense attorney Billy Martin said in a statement. "Mr. Vick has agreed to enter a plea of guilty to those charges and to accept full responsibility for his actions and the mistakes he has made. Michael wishes to apologize again to everyone who has been hurt by this matter."

Now What, Dummies?

Yeah so, you know how all Mike Vick's boys turned state's evidence against him in his federal dog fighting case in exchange for immunity and lighter sentences? Yeah well, AFTER they made all their damning testimonies, the state of Virginia says they’re going to file their OWN charges based on the Fed testimonies and will not grant the same immunities to the turn-coat defendants, so those fools are going to get jail time anyway. Suckkkkkers.

Michael Vick Nearing Plea Deal

After the other three defendants in the Michael Vick dog fighting case decided to cop pleas, it's being reported that Vick's attorneys are trying to negotiate a plea deal that will limit Vick's prison time and save his NFL career. Ummm, if he's pleading guilty in any way, how can his career be saved? Mike has until the end of the week to decide whether to cop his plea or risk going to trial.

Michael Vick's Former Best Friend Turns State Evidence

It's a wrap. Michael Vick is going down. His former best friend from high school, Tony Taylor, turned State's and testified that the 'Bad Newz Kennels' operation and gambling moneys were almost exclusively funded by Vick. His statement also lists several dogfights that Vick attended in Virginia and other states. The principals in the dogfighting ring split any winnings, and Taylor -- who spent most of his time raising and training the pit bulls -- used his share for living expenses. Taylor also confirmed the indictment's claim that he helped purchase pit bulls and killed at least two dogs that fared poorly in test fights.

Mike Vick Pleads Not Guilty

Michael Vick pleaded not guilty to all charges against him in a Richmond Virginia court yesterday where prosecutors said more charges against him are likely and told Vick and his co-defendants, "We've already charged you with serious crimes. You might want to consider a guilty plea. We are going to file more charges next month. That gives you a few weeks to think about the guilty plea. If you come and talk to us about pleading guilty and testifying for us, there will be no more charges against you. If you do not, the charges and the potential punishment will grow quickly. "
Call me crazy but that sounds like the kind of shit they say to scare you when they know their case won't hold up in court.

In other stupid football news, Adam “PacMan” Jones appealed his suspension and asked to at least be allowed to participate in the Tennessee Titans training camp, even though he's missed counseling sessions, as mandated by Roger Goodell in conditions outlined for the cornerback to be reinstated. He was denied.

The Writings On The Wall For Michael Vick

Might as well say goodbye to Michael Vick. NFL commisoner Roger Goodell told Vick not to come to training camp this week until the league reviews the dogfighting charges against him.

"While it is for the criminal justice system to determine your guilt or innocence, it is my responsibility as commissioner of the National Football League to determine whether your conduct, even if not criminal, nonetheless violated league policies, including the Personal Conduct Policy," Goodell said in a letter to the quarterback.

Vick will still get his preseason pay and Goodell told the Falcons to withhold any disciplinary action of their own until the league's review was completed.

Russell Simmons Starts Letter Writing Campaign Against Michael Vick

In no way, shape or form do I support dogfighting, but still I have a problem with Russell Simmons writing letters to the companies Michael Vick endorses (Nike, Rawlings, Hasbro, Coca-Cola, Easton Sports, and Kraft) urging them to drop support of Vick before he even gets a chance at a fair trial.
