Jury Selection In OJ's Trial

OJ Simpson faces a life sentence if convicted of robbing two sports memorabilia collectors at gunpoint in a Las Vegas Hotel last September. Yesterday, at the start of the jury selection process, District Judge Jackie Glass told the court, "If you think you are going to punish Mr Simpson for what happened in 1995, this is not the case for you."

Damon Dash's son, Damon 'Boogie' Dash jr., went to visit his mother one weekend and hasn't been back to Dame's house since. Damon, who has sole legal custody of Boogie, filed a motion in court to force Boogie's mama, Linda Williams, to return him. So far she has refused. Judge Susan Knipp said if Linda doesn't show for a hearing today, she'll issue a warrant for her arrest. Boogie's court-appointed lawyer told the judge that the boy wants to stay with his mother.

Superhead Caught On Tape

Darius McCrary went on Blogtalk radio to clear up the vicious rumor that he tried to run over Superhead with his car. If you recall, back in June Superslut contacted gossip blogger Perez Hilton claiming she'd gone to a recording studio to talk to Darius because her son was very distraught over their break-up and that Darius cruelly rebuffed her and maliciously ran over her foot. Terrence Howard Wants Silence

Terrence Howard just released a new cd called Shining Through. So last week Terrence performed some of his songs at 'The Beat of Chic', presented by Bloomingdale's and Vanity Fair, on the lower level of Bloomingdale's 59th Street flagship store in NY for special invited guests. Anyway, according to one of my e-pals, there were two chicks in the front row who talked all the way through two of Terrence's songs. Why did they do that? They say Terrence stopped his set, got off the stage, walked into the audience and was like, "Obviously you two are talking about something that's more important than my music. Why don't you share it!?" and shoved the mic in their faces. The ladies went silent and Terrence went back up on stage to continue his set.

MC Breed On Life Support

Flint, Michigan rapper MC Breed is in critical condition at an undisclosed hospital in Atlanta where he is on life support due to kidney failure. His manager, Darryl Morris, said the rapper, born Eric Breed, was playing a game of pickup basketball Friday evening (September 5) in Atlanta, when he collapsed and fell unconscious. “He had to be revived three times,” his manager said. “He had to be rushed to the hospital where they diagnosed him and told him his kidney’s have failed.” Now, MC Breed, 36, is in serious need of a kidney transplant and is seeking a donor to help save his life. Breed's manager told AllHipHop.com that a number of rappers are being contacted to participate in a benefit concert for the revered rapper, which will take place in his hometown of Michigan. “We are hoping we can find Breed a kidney through this process, before its too late,” Morris said.

Gary Coleman Runs Over Fan

Saturday night Gary Coleman and his wife were at a Utah bowling alley when a 'fan' asked if he could take a picture of Gary with his cellphone. Gary, who pleaded no-contest to punching a female fan in the face who'd bugged him for an autograph in 1999, refused. The guy took the pictures anyway and things turned ugly. After arguing inside the bowling alley, the dude followed Gary and his wife outside and according to Gary's people, jumped behind Gary's truck as he was backing out of his parking space. The cops were called, but neither man was issued a citation and police said it wasn't clear whether Coleman ran into the dude on purpose or not. "We're currently trying to sort through those issues," police Lt. Bill Wright told the Deseret News of Salt Lake City.
