Russell Simmons Starts Letter Writing Campaign Against Michael Vick

In no way, shape or form do I support dogfighting, but still I have a problem with Russell Simmons writing letters to the companies Michael Vick endorses (Nike, Rawlings, Hasbro, Coca-Cola, Easton Sports, and Kraft) urging them to drop support of Vick before he even gets a chance at a fair trial.

Gary Dourdan Punches Out Paparazzi

When I first started writing this blog, one of the first stories I covered was Gary Dourdan's ex-girlfriend accusing him of rape and battery, and him pleading "no contest" to the battery but not the rape. Then, in May of '07, TMZ caught Gary being denied entry to a hot club, and later attacking their lensman for capturing his humiliation on tape. So how come they're acting so surprised that he did it again? That's right, yesterday Gary attacked another TMZ camera guy and it's all on film, kinda. Watch the tape for yourself, I didn't see any actual blows thrown, but Gary does roll up on them acting tough. Click

Michael Vick Indicted

on one count of conspiracy to transport dogs across state lines for the purpose of dog fighting. Papers, filed earlier this month by federal authorities in U.S. District Court in Richmond, noted that dog fights have been sponsored by "Bad Newz Kennels" at the property since at least 2002. Fifty-four animals were recovered from the property during searches in April, along with a "rape stand," used to hold dogs in place for mating; an electric treadmill modified for dogs; and a bloodied piece of carpeting, the documents said. During a June search of the property, investigators uncovered the graves of seven pit bulls that were killed by members of "Bad Newz Kennels" following sessions to test whether dogs would be good fighters, the documents said.

Friend Of Remy's Says Makeda Stole From Remy In The Past

One of Remy's friends spoke to All Hip Hop about the shooting. This is what she said:

"Everyone was good the entire party, until we went outside and Makeda tried to quickly slip away. She has stolen from Remy before and Remy forgave her the first time. Remy even paid Makeda's rent before, when she spent her money on shopping and her sorry a** boyfriend couldn't help out."

According to the woman, who said she witnessed the entire event, Barnes-Joseph exited her vehicle and the two women argued in the street.

"Remy never got in her [Barnes-Joseph's] car. Makeda threatened Remy in front of everyone and stated that she didn't take her money. She also threw her purse at Remy to check and that's why Remy had her purse and emptied the contents. Remy didn't even have a gun on her."

Remy Ma's friend said that she and the others in the entourage walked up to the two women as they were arguing and that's when shots rang out.

"Makeda's boyfriend threatened Remy," the woman said. "All I know is, as soon as I turned, Makeda was on the ground saying she got shot, but Remy never had a pistol in her hand."

The woman said everyone fled because the police were enroute to the scene of the shooting.
