Jim and Juelz Buy Out Showing of Notorious
Rappers Jim Jones and Juelz Santana are offering a free showing of Notorious at a Harlem theater today. Which one? I don't know, but I'm sure you savvy Harlemites can figure it out. Anyway, Jim says, “I did it for hip-hop. It’s as big as Obama’s being the first black president. This is part of our history in the urban community; Biggie was our first Obama.” Juelz, who obviously has a better grip on reality simply states, “This is my way of saying thank you to Big. I never got a chance to meet him, so this is me as a Harlem dude saluting a cat from Brooklyn, in a small but meaningful way. Jim and I figured that so many people in the hip-hop community would be going to the see the movie individually; if we can make it so that everyone sees it together, that’s a great thing.”

at auction yesterday for 18 million dollars to a Canadian company, called Wide Awake Holdings. Suge Knight lost Death Row after filing for bankruptcy in 2006.
Charles Barkley Lost His T-Mobile Gig
T-Mobile dumped Charles Barkley from their 'Fav 5' ad campaign because of his recent DUI arrest.
T-Mobile says, “Given the recent developments, for the time being, we’ve replaced TV ads featuring Mr. Barkley with more general-market advertising. As he works through his personal matters, we will evaluate where to go from here.”

Naomi Settles
Naomi Campbell has settled out of court with a former maid who's butt she kicked and who she insulted with racial slurs when after the poor girl couldn't find a pair of Naomi's jeans. The maid charged that Naomi hit her in the head, mocked her broken English, called her a "bad Romanian" and told her, "You are not in the Third World anymore, stupid!" The settlement amount was not made public but all parties are said to be satisfied.
