Music producer Timbaland is suing Blackground Records claiming they're jealous of his success as a producer and performer and accuses them of contacting other labels to tell them not to hire him and of stiffing him out of money. Timbs wants out of his contract plus monetary damages. Blackground is owned by Aaliyah's uncle Barry Hankerson and has also been sued by Toni Braxton for practically the same thing. Toni later dropped her suit.
Jim Jones was in court yesterday facing assault charges stemming from the run-in he had with Jay Z's right hand man Ty Ty's little brother Javon Smith at a NY Louis Vuitton store in December. Jim appeared in court last month and pled not guilty on the assault charge and has vowed to take the case to trial calling the plea deal a set up for a civil suit. FYI: Video of the whole thing is part of the evidence against Jim and reportedly shows him "hitting and kicking" Javon in front of his pal Ne-Yo. 'Von has already filed a multi-million dollar civil suit against Jimmy.
Las Vegas celebrity impersonator Trina Johnson has been languishing in a Surinamese jail ever since she was unwittingly used in a Toni Braxton concert scam in February. Trina Johnson says she was booked to do a tribute concert to Toni Braxton in Suriname only to find out that concert goers were expecting the real thing. Moments into her second song the audience of 1500 began pelting her with bottles and booing. She was arrested shortly after. Meanwhile the concert promoter and all the proceeds from the concert were nowhere to be found. Trina is facing a three-year prison sentence after authorities in the Latin American republic accused her of fraud for impersonating singer Toni Braxton even though Trina claims to have a contract that clearly states she was booked to impersonate the singer. Prosecutors in Suriname are allowed to detain the accused up to 67 days, and there's no such thing as bail. Trina's husband was also arrested but he was released after spending 2 weeks in a 8 feet by 10 foot open-air jail cell with no heat and no lights and 11 other prisoners existing on a breakfast of one cup of hot tea and a small piece of bread. A combined lunch and dinner consisting of a cup of boiled rice and maybe 2 ounces of protein, either fish, chicken or "mystery meat" and later at night, a cup of flavored water.

you can't sue me for workplace sex harassment because I'm not an "employer" under state human-rights law. New York Knick Eddy Curry's former male driver is suing him claiming Eddy propositioned him for sex and neglected to pay him over $98,000.00 in wages and expenses. But Eddy is trying to get the case thrown out because under state law you have to employ at least four people to be considered an employer and Eddy claims that his only employees were the ex-chauffeur and a personal chef.
Tyrese Gibson felt like this was the perfect time to release a statement about Chris Brown and Rihanna.
