No Wonder
Terrence Howard defended Chris Brown after he was accused of beating the shish out of Rihanna. It's because he felt a kindred spirit. The Smoking Gun has outed Terrence's own domestic violence history. According to TSG Terrence, after telling his estranged wife over the phone, "Don't disrespect me by hanging up on me or I'll come over and hurt you" went over her house, kicked her door in and then repeatedly socked her in the face with closed fists. Not Fair
It's not fair how bad Solange got mangled in the press after she passed out at LAX yesterday. I've been following Solange on Twitter for a while and she's been working her ass off doing shows from LA to New York and back, all the while fighting flu like symptoms. Though she'd been complaining of being sick for more than a week, she never once canceled a show and according to her tweets only rescheduled one interview. Anyway, Sol-Angel was on her way home on a NY to LA flight [that's six and half hours], after not having seen her son in over a week, and tweeted that she'd taken a NyQuil pill or two on the plane but still couldn't fall asleep. And it's true, her twits did get a bit loopy after that and then the next tweets were talking about, "Woke up to 8 random people over me, laid out on the floor in baggage claim!" She did not an OD on sizzup like it was reported all over the 'Net. The funniest part though was when she tweeted, "My mom is the best. LOL. She's like ain't nothing wrong with this girl, she need some water and rest... Pull up the car! LOL"
Did I just take up for Solange? I'm getting soft. Somebody kill me.

Reports Claim
Suge Knight suffered multiple bone fractures in his face as a result of the stomp-out he received at an NBA All-Star weekend after party.
Marlon Jackson
is involved in a muti-billion dollar historical resort development project in Nigeria that will feature a memorial and museum about slavery, which would include a theme park with a slave ship replica, along with casinos, shops, a golf course and condominiums. Visitors will be able to visit a replica slave ship and walk the route their shackled ancestors walked before playing a round of golf or relaxing by a pool. The investment group behind the plan, called The Motherland Group, has said it hopes that the resort will help attract African-American tourists keen to trace their roots back to Nigeria. The resort will also house memorabilia from the glory years of the Jackson Five.
Nas Says
“Personally, life is good. I’m sure that y’all heard K is expecting. The internet seems to be more excited than I am. It’s crazy! I got too much to think about, and I didn’t wanna leave all my fans out the loop. But I wanted to let ya’ll know from me personally that I’m having my first SON!!!!!"
They Say
the reason it took so long for Chris Brown to come out with a statement after the Rihanna beat-down is because he couldn't find anyone to represent him after several high profile press agencies turned him down flat. To make matters worse, the one guy who would help him navigate through his crisis, Mike Sitrick, has a bad rep himself and is universally disliked by the press.
Phoenix Suns' Jason Richardson
has been suspended for one game after he got arrested Sunday night for driving 90 mph in a 35 mph zone with his 3 year old son in the backseat without a car seat. This, fresh off the heels of his Dec. 21 arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. Jason referred to the DUI as “one stupid mistake I made.” After his latest arrest Jason says, “I just want to apologize to everybody — my teammates, my family, especially my fiancee. It’s a tough time for me. I’ve been questioned as a basketball player, questioned as a person, but my fatherhood in question is tough, because I try to be the best father I can be, and try to keep my kids out of harm’s way.”

For the second time in 9 months, Suge Knight got his face punched in -- and the alleged ass-beater claims to be Akon's business manager. Another man was also arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.According to the Scottsdale PD, "Carnes reported to officers that he is employed as the business manager for singer 'Akon.'"Suge was transported to a local hospital and treated for facial injuries.
Chris Brown's Official Statement
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writing under my name are frauds."
Over the weekend Chris' dad also released a statement:
"He's reflecting on this situation. He's very remorseful. He's very concerned about the situation and he wants to make sure that [Rihanna's] okay. This is unfortunate, this stumble, this situation. Hopefully, he will get past it. We all have our shortcomings. We all trip. If you are on his side, you are on his side," he says. "Just because someone trips, if you are truly a fan, you are not going to demonize him instantaneously."
"As a father, I couldn't be more proud … He's the light of my life. I think he's [going to] grow as an individual," he says. "He's going to take from this situation and learn from it."
Rhianna father had something to say too:
"There is some bruising. [But] she will be alright. I think so. At some point, she will speak out. I hope she will stand up for women all over the world."
