Jagged Edge Ruins Wedding Plans?

"Let's Get Married" by Jagged Edge has probably been played at a million weddings, so why is Jagged Edge being blamed for ruining one couple's big day...?

From TMZ

A Jagged Edge fan claims his favorite band stood him up at the altar last month ... when they failed to perform at his wedding -- but the group says he's simply pointing the finger at the wrong guys.

The groom at the center of the controversy is Victor Diaz ... who claims he wanted to surprise his fiancee by getting JE to perform their famous "Let's Get Married" song at their wedding on November 19. Diaz claims he reached an agreement with the band's reps ... and shelled out $10k for the deposit and other costs -- but the band never showed up.

But ... the band says they were never aware of the gig -- telling TMZ Diaz must have been dealing with someone who falsely posed as a representative of the band.

Diaz isn't buyin' it ... and believes the band decided to flake on the wedding when they got an offer for a higher paying gig on the same weekend.

Diaz says he's preparing to sue Jagged Edge, the record label and JE's management company -- telling TMZ, "They humiliated me and cost my wife her dream."

A rep for Jagged Edge tells us, "They are very heartbroken and sad that [Victor's] wedding got destroyed due someone using our name without permission."

The rep adds, "As far as court goes ... if the guy does decide to sue, good luck, because we didn’t agree to anything and he will see he had a forgery contract."

I love Jagged Edge, i hope they're coming out with a new album. I heard one of their songs "Girl It's Over" being played on the radio a few days ago, and was wondering what happened to them. I miss them, they made Real R&B music.

Ummmmmm? What's going on with the twin to the far right?! Is he coming out or something? Why are his eyebrows arched & where is his mustache? Is planning on auditioning to become one of Tyler's New leading Men!? That look is not approved! No Sir!!

All their music sounds the same. "Let's get married" is not romantic. I don't care for the lyrics. "We ain't gettin no younger so we might as well do it." I wish my man would play that on my day.

I was JUST thinking about the lyrics 12:15 and came in here to say the same thing! And the other lyrics "let's have some babies," "tired of making love to just anyone," what?

Also every JE song sounds the same, they have basic and tired-ass harmonies and I betcha if you play all their hits back to back it'll sound like one long-ass song...

Umm, "DESTROYED THEIR WEDDING AND DESTROYED HIS WIFE DREAMS"
Diaz please have all the seats at the reception.
Money-hungry newlyweds can be so dramatic-they're always overspending on their weddings then trying to find someway to get a little back-I hate when they be on these court shows crying and using words like "destroyed" or "ruined" my wedding day.
Maybe it spoiled the day during some moments but DESTROYED or RUINED is too much.
I like when Judge Judy puts them in their seat and reminds them that the day was about the vowels not the song or the cake.

@6:54 The day was about the "vowels," as in A,E,I,O,U and sometimes Y?

RIGHT @ 12:15, 3:07, 6:54!!! I never liked the lyrics to that song. Good luck with that lawsuit, bruh...You will be losing more money trying to pacify your new wife and her *ruined and destroyed* wedding day.

They need to quit playing, they just lost 2/20 fans still checking for them. And yes I am including 9:27, 9:39, and 2:12.

The lyrics to that song always sound slightly misogynistic to me: "the ring with the rock THAT WILL BREAK YOUR ARM"

"WE AIN'T GETTING NO YOUNGER WE MIGHT AS WELL DO IT"

since when is that shit wedding material?

^^^ I was about to post the same thing, the lyrics sound hood.

I know them both...and you know what 10k to that nigga ain't shit..thats what we in the hood call chump change and if ya new their story, ya would understand why he picked that song...with that said all the guess at the wedding were pleased...its really didn't make its or brake it...that was just personal between them! and to close out with my personal opinion .....im glad they didn't show up because .........he should of not married her ...he could do wayyyyyyyy better !!¡!!!!¡se
