RIP to the mother of Ms. O. Godspeed to our new ancestor. They weren’t perfect, but they did what they could under the crushing thumb of JIm Crow and white supremacy.

RIP. I too had a very toxic mother and had a volatile relationship with mother, who's a rabid christian, she told me once if she knew she was giving birth to a witch, she would have strangled me at birth. Which was hilarious seeing that it came from her bloodline as her mother and grandmother were witches. We were able to mend our relationship and are now very good friends. Forgiveness is a wonderful thing.

The reality of life is felt with the lost of one's mother. Nothing prepares to that loss.
