All Def Digital Owes Big Bucks to Freelancers

Earlier this month news leaked that the Russell Simmons' founded "All Def Digital" network was being shut down and its content creators laid off [click here if you missed that].

Now some freelancers are claiming they haven't been paid...

Videographers and producers tell Billboard their projects were shut down with very short notice and that phones at All Def Digital stopped being answered.

The freelancers are claiming to be owed nearly $50,000.00.

A lot of them have projects on YouTube and other outlets, definitely go check out their content and support them.

I guess they didn't hear about that Rush Card fiasco. They were too busy working for free.

Meh -- all claims will be rolled into a settlement fund once all assets are liquidated. I'm sure these production resources are far down the list of creditors. They're all freelancers or vendors, not W2 employees so their rights are slightly different. I am digital vendor for businesses like this. This happened to me once and I was forced to settle for cents on the dollar. The was nobody left to sue. I've gotten much better at noticing cash flow problems with clients and setting up production contracts to cover 20% above overhead before starting production, one more at a good stopping point (like post), and the check at delivery is all profit. Don't get left holding the bag. Smh

All these decades these crooks and low lives were selling a dream of wealth and success and now with the recent invention of Social media we can see through the lies. Russell is a rapist and a thief.
