Blanco Brown No.1 on the Country Chart

Back in April Billboard famously removed Lil Nas X's mega hit single Old Town Road from the Country Music chart after claiming the song "didn't have enough country music elements" sparking a debate  on racism in Country Music [click here if you missed that].

Welp, Blanco Brown just took Country's top spot...

on Billboard and iTunes.

His video budget was probably like $5.00, and included the cup in his hand and the gas it took to get to the trailer park. I ain't mad though.

Congratulations to anyone with the creativity to merge two very dissimilar genres of music. And much success to the holders of the masters and publishing rights. But nope! Not for me. Just listened to the song and now I gotta blast some Mobb Deep "Shook Ones" and "Quiet Storm. Then to make sure my musical palette is clean I gotta drop the needle on Slick Rick's "Lick The Balls."

@12:16 thats how you have to do things when you are smart enough to NOT sign a 360 deal...I ain't mad either...

The irony is billboard removed lil nas so a black man wouldn't have a #1 country song and a different black man ended up getting the spot anyway. We are kings and queens and conquer anything we set our minds to do.
