Jay Z Advised Jermaine Dupri Against Working with the NFL Last Year


Last year Atlanta super producer Jermaine Dupri faced furious backlash for breaking the NFL boycott to curate a pre- Super Bowl concert series  [click here if you missed that].

Turns out Jay Z was behind the scenes urging Jermaine not to take the gig...

This week on Issac Hayes III's Southside Dash Radio podcast, while discussing Jay Z's new entertainment deal with the NFL [click here if you missed that], Grammy Award winning producer Bryan-Michael Cox claims Jay Z called Jermaine Durpi personally asking him not to take the job.

Bryan-Michael Cox claims,
"Jay Z went hard. He went hard against them, like f**k the NFL I don't need them. He went hard behind closed doors...he made it clear he wasn't f**king with them." 
"My personal opinion is this: A lot of things is going to be unearhted because of this, like how Barclays got into Brooklyn and what was promised...and the fact Colin Kapernick is not involved in this social justice thing that he's doing...If it wasn't about money or being a capitalist...."
