Jay Z Kicks Off First NFL Initiative


Earlier this month Jay Z took heat after accepting a position with the NFL despite their ongoing ban of quarterback Colin Kaepernick for kneeling during the National Anthem to bring awareness to widespread unpunished police brutality in the Black community [click here if you missed that].

This week Jay Z, Roc Nation and the NFL announced the 'Inspire Change' social enterprise model featuring a clothing line and music showcase to benefit 'Inspire Change' social justice programs around the country.

Superstars and emerging artists from all genres will be featured in the music component that will debut and promote songs during in game broadcasts with the proceeds of each song going to 'Inspire Change.'

Meek Mill, Meghan Trainor and Rapsody will be the first artists featured.

The key priorities of Inspire Change are education and economic empowerment, police and community relations, and criminal justice reform.
