Vanessa Bryant Breaks Her Silence

Kobe Bryant's wife Vanessa breaks her silence following the tragic deaths of her husband and daughter Gianna Bryant...

My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time. Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them. We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe — the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna — a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri. We are also devastated for the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in their grief intimately. There aren’t enough words to describe our pain right now. I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved. We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever. They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon. I’m not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it’s impossible to imagine life without them. But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way. Our love for them is endless — and that’s to say, immeasurable. I just wish I could hug them, kiss them and bless them. Have them here with us, forever. Thank you for sharing your joy, your grief and your support with us. We ask that you grant us the respect and privacy we will need to navigate this new reality. To honor our Team Mamba family, the Mamba Sports Foundation has set up the MambaOnThree Fund to help support the other families affected by this tragedy. To donate, please go to MambaOnThree.org. To further Kobe and Gianna’s legacy in youth sports, please visit MambaSportsFoundation.org. Thank you so much for lifting us up in your prayers, and for loving Kobe, Gigi, Natalia, Bianka, Capri and me. #Mamba #Mambacita #GirlsDad #DaddysGirls #Family ❤️

R in NYC says:

Good morning RWS.
I think I will donate to the MambaOnThree to help the other families.
I can't imagine what this grief is like. Losing my brother and mother 14 years apart was painful enough.

Not to sound like an asshole, and I know she's grieving heavily (understandably so) but it really pisses me off when rich people set up fundraisers for poor people to donate to. Vanessa could easily fund the whole thing, and not seek a dime from anyone else. She can spare a few million and still be able more than comfortably raise her children.

@7:52am I think Vanessa doesn't want to use her own $ because she is probably waiting to see if the other families will sue Kobe's estate.

I also think that she was reaching out to other rich people as well. If poor people don't have it to give, then they can ignore the request. It's not mandatory.

Yeah..maybe the org should have executed the fundraising initiative separate from Vanessa's msg...I was thrown off by by that injection

Laa Soul, I don't think you understand how deep the Bryant pockets run. THEY CAN COMFORTABLY AFFORD IT.

The reality is those families are about to sue tf out of somebody. And if they weren't already rich and relevant they would not have been able to board that helicopter. As they did not hob nob with UBER type folks.
Nevertheless, may God comfort each one affected with his peace and mercy. Truly sad situation.

Kobe was worth $600m. If each family sued and won $10m per person, Vanessa and them are still gonna eat good. And you think D Wade, Shaq, Jordan, and the whole crew won't pony up to support the family too?!

Plus that estate is probably going to double once they start with the merchandising from the tragedy. The Bryant family won't be missing any meals.

Kobe had a beautiful family.

Shaq just gave a lot of his own money for the families lost in the crash. And I'm sure Lebron and some of the other Lakers or Mamba members will do their part as well. I'm with you 7:52AM. The public donation request was unnecessary. It wasn't Kobe's fault the helicopter went down so it's not Vanessa's responsibility to help, however she can afford to. And it wasn't the public's fault either so I don't see a need for her to ask private citizens to help pay for the other victims of this tragic accident. People always act like money is the only way to show you care.

Sorry but Kobe's girls are weird looking when they're young. But the good news is they eventually grow into their looks.

8:57 As this tragedy had gone on I reviewed tons of pics of the girls and they were definitely average at best. However, over the years they have grown into their looks. The older one Natalia, is super gorgeous and Gigi with that big ass kool-aid smile was morphing into a beauty too. Good looking kids and praying for this family.

It's not about the money. In these situations people tend to donate money to the family anyway. She is letting people know not to send it to them because they are well off and she is being transparent about where it goes. They will be flooded with so many cards, flowers and donations than they will know what to do with.

My heart goes out to the family of all involved with the crash. However I agree with 7:52 and even 8:04. I'm sure families will sue. 8:15 yes his pockets are very long and whatever happens they will ok for a long time. 8:55 I figured a bunch of players were going to reach out and help financially. She should have set up a foundation to help the other families. She is able and the players are helping.

One thing for certain, she loved her husband. This whole death thing does not sit well with me, while death is inevitable, and accidents happen everyday, given what we know of celebrity culture and the hidden hands behind that culture. The Vigilant Citizen has an interesting take on his death and I think this is why so many among us who are woke myself included, raised an eyebrow with the way his whole "death" went down: https://vigilantcitizen.com/latestnews/the-eerie-synchronicity-surrounding-kobe-bryants-death/

@8:57 & 9:09

I bet the both of you are probably some morbidly obese fat ass Section 8 bitches with big long titties with musty sweat underneath them. And those titties got ugly ass tattoos on them. And you probably rounding up your six illegitimate kids from your three baby daddies to take them to Walmart so they can shop lift for you.

A fucking child died!! Fucking children and their parents died!!! And all you two dirt monsters can talk about is how their daughters look?????

Dusty ass miserable burnt niggas!!

Why a bitch gotta be fat, on Section 8, and with saggin' tittles to act dumb??? Bet I could do a search on some of those idiot housewives or Black-ish charachters and find some really dumb shit. Y'all need to lay the fuck off of fat and poor black women. Goddamn. Dusty ass, indeed.

A very well put together statement in such a few days. I'd expect her to be ghost for far longer. She either came out of hiding for narcissistic reasons or just to plug the donations so she can limit her future liability. My guess is that the donations will be exceptional and she'll have to come out of pocket a lot less. I didn't like however her using the term "my girls" and "I" so much. You would be a nothing if Kobe wasn't such a simp. But at any rate it was a classy statement and I wish them the best regardless.

When parents don't like your spouse, it's usually for valid reasons. I wonder if she will treat his parents, his sisters and his friends well? Daily Mail said his wealth was estimated at 800 million...she could give each remaining child 100 million dollars and still be set for life.

Anonymous said...

@ Alma's Daughter. Thank you for clearing that up. Skinny bitches with no kids do and say dumb shit too. This same stupid bitch @12:26 who asking for compassion about the dead don't even show compassion for the living just because they fat and on welfare.

Do not give your hard earned money to people who are doing better than you. What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?? There is only one answer.

Malika said...

If you're on a helicopter with Kobe Bryant, you ain't starving. The pilot flew celebs around L.A. I'm sure he wasn't exactly brown bagging it to save money. I ain't got nothing for these folks but prayers. The only one I feel really bad for is the surviving child that lost 2 parents and a sibling.

^^^^FACTS!!! What I look like donating my hard earn money to people who had more money than me?

I wonder if Vanessa really wrote that or someone else in her behalf because Chile if I was Vanessa I’d be in someone’s hospital in a catatonic state. I would be no more good you hear me??? RIP to all them Souls

I never trusted that funny looking bitch. She inherits his wealth then asks regular people for money? Nothing but a grimey witch. His family HATED her and now he's dead. Cold hearted PR statement Vanessa I see you.

Just because they were with Kobe doesn't mean they were rich. Some of you are just cold hearted, bitter, uncharitable bitches.

Your broke ass can't even afford to shop at Dollar Tree. Nobody wants your food stamps and welfare money anyway.
